New To The Forums, Need Some Help
I know this is a noobish question, but I have been trying to Sell a couple of items in the "Sell" section as i was informed to ONLY post sales there. And I never get any replies to my items...not once. I'm not quite familiar of what "bump" means, maybe thats why my attempts at making slaes isnt working, if someone could clear up how to make a proper sale it would be appreciated.
One last quick question I have, i used search and didn't quite find anything. When i make a post to sell something, I want to go back and check out the bids placed etc. Is there an easier way of finding your post? rather than going to the sell section and searching for the title you put? Cause 9/10 times I can't seem to find my thread. Thanks all, greatly appreciated. |

bumping is when you give your monitor a whack.
as for your second question --- which browser do you use? mozilla firefox is free and comes w/a 'bookmark' feature that let's you bookmark pages that you'd like to visit later. ps what are you trying to sell? a lot of that stuff doesn't get replies --- especially if it's crap. try posting it in the price check section. |

I had a whole bunch of really nice items, and so the "bump" basically does what? Like re-activates your post? so that it doesn't dissapear? or Something? I can set a page as my favourites.....but i dont think it will give me an updated page, it will just show th old information, but who knows thanks for answering that question, but as for the "bumps" im still a little confused.

ah, see, that's what's great about firefox. it also has a 'refresh page' feature that lets you refresh the page. ps why'd they close the sell forum? is this auction thing new, or did it get spammed w/people trying to sell a quest axe for a million? |

1) The sell forum is currently closed, so you have to use the new Auction feature (check on the main GWG page) 2) Most of the items that are sold on the forums are very high end. If you are trying to sell items that are significantly less than perfect, you probably won't have much luck. Specifically, weapons that aren't max damage (that's 15-22 for sword, 6-28 for axe, 19-35 for hammer, 15-28 for bow, 11-22 for wand/staff, though max energy is more important for staffs I would think), shields that aren't max defense (16), etc. will probably not sell. I've basically given up on trying to sell weapons and shields, it usually isn't worth the trouble, unless I know that I can get a fortune for the item. 3) Bumping a post means replying to your own post with the word "bump" it moves it to the top of the page. The sell forum normally only allowed you to do it once per 24 period. Rico |

it won't take you to the current post, but the page that you bookmarked...if you marked the first page and it is up to 5 pages, you will only get to the 1st page, but from there it isn't a problem
ps: way to necro |

Click on the button "Thread Tools" near the top of the forum on the right side and subscribe to the page you are on. Then you can go to your user control panel "User CP" and view it anytime you want, without wading through the forums.
